Some weddings are all about the party, others about the details, but Taylah and Luke’s wedding at Hunter Barn in Bolwarra was truly about family. Set in the lush green countryside of Maitland, their day was, heartfelt, and centred around the people who matter most.
Rain was on the horizon, so the ceremony was moved into the venue’s smaller barn—a dedicated ceremony space filled with soft, natural light. It created such a calm and romantic atmosphere as Taylah and Luke exchanged vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends, and their two gorgeous daughters, Audrey and Havana, who stole more than a few hearts on the day.
Their styling featured a timeless neutral colour palette, beautifully understated and elegant. Every detail, from the soft-toned florals to the warm textures, complemented the rustic-modern character of Hunter Barn effortlessly.
Despite the early rain, we were lucky to sneak outside for portraits just as the clouds cleared and we were rewarded with a stunning rainbow. It was one of those magical little moments you can’t plan but will never forget. As the evening set in, guests gathered around an outdoor fire, soaking up the cozy atmosphere before hitting the dance floor with full energy. The vibe was joyful, relaxed, and full of heart.
Being a wedding photographer in the Hunter Valley means capturing days like this, real, unscripted, and full of meaningful connection. Taylah and Luke’s day was a perfect example of how beautiful a family-first wedding can be.
